Annual inflation in the euro area was at 2% versus 2.4% for the EU in July, official figures from Eurostat said on Wednesday.

Eurostat said the highest contribution to annual euro area inflation rate came from services, followed by food, alcohol and tobacco, and non-energy industrial goods.
